About
The objective was to design a visually compelling identity that is consistent with the clients initiatives and can be easily adapted to all mediums and channels as the festival is spread throughout the city and also promoted online.
Under the theme “Connections”, the festival wanted to focus on creating connections between local creative industries, cultural operators, and creative communities, but also on connecting the public with the latest and most innovative local architecture and design projects.
We proposed expanding on the identity and developing innovative ways to maintain consistency across various events while preserving its bold typographical approach.
Our objective was to create a unique visual identity that would draw people's attention, as the client aimed to engage with diverse communities throughout the city. To achieve this, we opted for a vibrant color scheme that would stand out, even in an eclectic city like Bucharest.
The approach for the system was driven by the festival's theme: Connections. They designed a series of symbols by creating abstract letterforms using modular grids.
The challenge each year is to create an identity that is flexible enough to keep the festival's dynamic character through each edition.
